I did get help in the end, but it took a few days between email replies. I had to keep checking back through my receipt and order emails to make sure I had all the details handy. Not the fastest experience, but they did sort it out eventually.

I ordered a cycling jacket from jejamescycles.com, but when it arrived the fit wasn’t quite right, so I decided to send it back.
The return instructions were clear enough and I didn’t have any trouble figuring out what to do. But this is where it got annoying: it took a few days for things to actually get moving, and the refund wasn’t exactly quick. I ended up having to check in once to see what was going on.
I did get my money back in the end, so it wasn’t a terrible experience or anything. It just felt like the whole return process could have been a bit smoother and faster

Dropped my bike off at JE James Cycles expecting the usual drawn-out back and forth, because I’m a bit worn out with chasing repairs and waiting around for updates lately. But they just got on with it and had it sorted way quicker than I thought.

I ordered a bike from jejamescycles.com and, to be fair, it arrived in good shape and mostly ready to ride, which was a relief because I always expect to have to fiddle with new bikes a bit. The gears were shifting smoothly straight out of the box, the brakes felt safe and responsive, and nothing looked rushed or badly put together when I gave it a proper once-over.
I did have to straighten the handlebars slightly and I checked a few bolts myself, just because I’m the sort of person who likes to make sure everything is tight before riding, but there wasn’t anything major wrong at all. If it had been completely dialed in with no little adjustments needed, I’d probably have gone with 5 stars, but overall I’m happy with the bike and the assembly was definitely better than I expected.

They explained the different options in plain language and didn’t make me feel rushed, which I really appreciated. That said, the shop was busy and I had to stand around for a while before getting help. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it did make me feel a little less confident about how things might go if I needed follow-up support. Overall, good service, just not quite perfect.

Popped in the next day and they had my order sorted quickly. No faff, everything was there.
Pretty straightforward, which is all I needed. I'd use them again.

I ordered a new derailleur and some cables, and to be fair, the parts themselves felt solid and fitted fine. Quality-wise, I don’t really have any complaints. The only thing is the order wasn’t handled as smoothly as I expected, and I kind of thought there’d at least be a quick apology for the hassle. Otherwise, the parts did the job.
